FAQS
Our curriculum has been tested in college classrooms for over two decades and proven to improve student engagement, student performance, and overall student satisfaction with learning. Now, it has been dialed in to the specific needs of high school students preparing for life. We give special attention to the non-academic parts of life that matter...the development of the whole self...and make it easy for teachers to deliver value with ready-made lessons, prompts and activities. A key feature of our CORE curriculum is that it can be adopted for any class structure, any timeline, any duration, and any frequency, making it the obvious choice for schools with evolving needs. Whether your school has grades 9-12 or cohorts in years 1-4 together, we've got the structure and framework to make delivering your advisory and/or life skills program easy.
We get it! Success as an institution is measured by a combination of key performance indicators (KPIs) tailored to the specific goals and objectives of your school. Administration as well as teachers are already overwhelmed with meeting all of these objectives, and learning to be content experts in a new area is just not a fit. Our ready-made modules have already thought out the need for easy implementation, and teachers can follow our curriculum with no effort using the pre-made lessons, tools and content right in their portal. The CORE curriculum is simple and effective. But teachers may add on our bonus modules for more, or they can even add their own content as fits if they (or students) get excited about a lesson and want to go deeper. All of this is as easy as logging in and clicking a button. No course preparation needed!!!
Yes! LifePrep Core focuses on the development of the student in life stages rather than grade. Because of its unique, upward spiral design, students can focus their attention on the curriculum based on where they are, and grow their approach as they mature and gain experience. In year one, the student focuses on the fundamentals. The four core elements are explored in term one : Core Identity, Strengths and Interests, Passions and Curiosities, and Market Demand. Together, these components help the student identify who they are, what they do well, and how they will present themselves in the evolving market to thrive throughout life. In the second half of the year, students merge these skills to discover these life enhancing elements: Sellable Skills, Claim to Fame, What Fills You Up, and Core Competencies. Year 2, students look at these self elements as they relate to others. In year 3, students begin to put into practice these lessons, and in year 4 they build a strategy for life success including a real plan for entry into adult life, including college or alternative next steps.
